Killer Beginings

Have you ever wondered how a serial killer or paid assassin gets started in life? In his book, Reverse Metamorphosis, R.E. Schobernd details the life of one such man who begins the same as most people in the society of the USA. In fact, the details are so explicit in this novel and the dialogue so sparse that at first a reader might get the impression this is a recounting of a "true crime" incident. Continuing to read this well-scripted novel will convince anyone that if this is based on a true story, someone did far too much talking in order for the author to have as much "inside information" as Schobernd delivers in Reverse Metamorphosis.

Page after page this story will draw you in until you know there is not only no way to stop reading, but there is no way you would ever want to stop reading until you have read every word on every page and reach the eventual finale.

Clayton Albrecht is an average young man in an average city. The only thing different about his life is that his best friend since early childhood is the son of one of the leading mob figures in the area. Clay's parents warn him repeatedly to be careful who his friends are, but Clay remains loyal to his pal Jimmy, knowing nothing can stand between them. Not even his parents dislike for Jimmy's dad and his profession.

Then Jimmy ends up dead and Clay later learns the death of his best friend not only was not the accident everyone else believes, but was premeditated murder on the part of someone Jimmy worked with. His loyalty to Jimmy and his dad rises to the surface and Clay takes it into his own hands to avenge his pal's murder, proving throughout the planning and execution of this "hit" that he not only has a real knack for killing, but has a serious talent for causing the death of another and is not too  squeamish to do so.

Step-by-step his life begins to change as Clay makes decisions he never would have thought possible only days and months previous. Soon he becomes the finest and most sought after paid assassin to those within the mob who have need of such fine workmanship. But will Clay's new life and chosen profession prove even too much for him to handle?

In this raw, unbridled look at how an assassin might be made, R.E. Schobernd reveals intricacies of underworld crime that suggest he might know more than he's willing to admit, accept within the pages of his fictional writing.

Reverse Metamorphosis is a chilling look into the life of an underworld hit man unlike any you have ever read before or are likely to read ever again.
